From its rugged, all aluminum construction to its unique multiple illuminated reticule patterns, this is one versatile green/red dot finder that offers much, much more!
With just a simple flip of the lever, you can chose between four different patterns in either green or red dot color. Choose between a dot, a circle with a dot, a crosshair or a reticle crosshair with a dot! You can also control the intensity of each color’s settings – from 1 (the lowest) to 5 (the brightest).
Why have a reflex finder that you’re not satisfied with when you can have them all! Now users may select the type of reticule they prefer… Perhaps it’s a red dot when in use for GoTo alignment… Maybe it’s a circle with a dot when you’re looking at a grouping of faint stars… Maybe the crosshairs will be great when trying to center on a faint target! The bottom line is that this appears to be a gun sight. All verbage in the scant instructions only mention guns - never telescopes. I find the projections to be too bright even at the lowest settings (green or red) and the lens to be too dark. This would probably be very good in the daylight but is much too bright for star viewing.
This is obviously a cross-over application. Because of the bright projection and dark lens, seeing stars is difficult. I will use it for now as my old finder scope failed but will be more cautious in my research in the future.

Works exactly as advertised! The only problem with this finder is the battery compartment could have been designed a little more user friendly. Once it is opened it is a major chore to lock it back down. But all in all this is one of the most awesome finders available.
