I bought these bar stools to use at my kitchen counter. They fit nicely, are just the right height, and look as good as I had hoped. However, when I received them I hadn't anticipated having to put them together and, as usual, with most assemble at home furniture, some of the washers were missing and the holes that had been pre-drilled were not properly lined up or cleanly drilled, and I had to scrape the wood out to get the screws in. Each chair took about 20 minutes to assemble, longer if I had to look for replacement washers on my own. In addition, a week after I learned that my order was backordered, I located the same barstools for the same price in a local store already assembled. I didn't want to go through any hassle to cancel my order, so I didn't. I think I might have been able to justify assembling the chairs myself if I got them from Hayneedle for less then I could have paid locally.

I love the design of these stools. They look great with my small kitchen island and black appliances and they are easy to keep clean - I've got THREE kids so they need wiping down every day. When I first ordered these, within a week, a button came off. It's not even really a button, it's more like a piece of scrap aluminum or something wrapped up in the faux letter. I was really disappointed because I finally found some counter stools I really liked. I wrote hayneedle and they promptly responded and sent me three more stools! I was really pleased with the service. Well, now another "button" has popped off another stool and it's just a matter of time before they all start coming off. It ruins the whole look of the counter stool! So frustrating. Just when I thought I found a fashionable and practical counter stool. I can't win. Anyway, I don't recommend these stools for families with kids who will frequently use them. It will NOT hold up.

I ordered 5 of these stools. They came within a few days even though I had checked 'Free Shipping' so I was pleased with that. One of the five, however, had one leg that was 1/8 inch shorter than the other three which made it wobble. My husband was able to build it up and correct this. Other than that, we are extremely please with the quality and look.

I really love these charis. They both didn't come together that easily. The first one was a breeze, the second one took more time and left gaps between the legs and the foot rest. Had to force it together to close gaps. But overall a great looking chair, serves my purpose

Ordered 5 stools, dowel missing from one. Legs don't line up correctly on 3 of them and not very padded. I expected more from the price.
