The desk looks pretty much as pictured, but assembly was a challenge. Some of the wood pieces already had dings on them when I opened the package -- it made me wonder if this piece had been returned by somebody else after they tried and failed to put it together. The cam locks are made of really soft metal, so they tended to strip easily and even bend or break! It was hard to tell when they were actually grabbing the bolt, and in most cases, I had to back the bolt out a few turns in order for the cam lock to work. At least one of the drawer screws simply spun around in the hole and wouldn't screw in. In the end, none of the malfunctioning hardware was necessary for the desk to stand up, and it looks pretty nice. Just don't expect it to be an heirloom -- I'm guessing I'll get a couple of good years out of it before it starts to look shabby and/or fall apart.

The desk was impossible to put together. I had to hire someone to do it when my husband threatened to throw it out the window. I arrived chipped but I do not dare send it back and try to put it together again. Unfortunately I guess you get what you pay for. No great deals.

the only complaint is that the draws do not align perfectly. All pieces in box were good and assembly was not to bad. With the exception of the draw it is a nice desk for the $.
