I was very excited about purchasing this product. It had a higher maximum weight than any of the other adjustable dumbells I had been thinking of buying and was $100 less, and a base came included.
Once I opened the weights I was immediately disappointed. Almost the entire product is made of plastic. It felt cheap and I was a little concerned the latch on the dumbell would break and I'd have weights landing on top of me.
I decided to return the dumbells when I picked one of them up and the latch that held the weight popped out of secure mode and the weight fell to the ground, inches from my toe.
Go with the Bowflex. They might be $100 more and a few pounds less weight, but the quality and craftsmanship trumps the Performance Fitness Systems.

only one bad thing to say I think the inspector took the day off because my stickers that show how to select the weights were in the wrong spots so it made things interesting.

I chose these dumbbells because they go to 60 lbs.Thats heavy enough for me as I'm just getting back into lifting. For the price, including stand it was a very good purchase and I'm glad I chose these instead of the more expensive but lighter brands.
