I bought 3 of these for my kitchen counter. They came several days earlier than expected. They looked beautiful online but I was concerned about the colors when I saw the matching tables. They seemed bolder in color than I wanted. I was thrilled when I got them. The back slate is subtle and natural but enough color to bring out. The black is brushed so you can see the gold lightly through it which matched even better than I expected. They were very easy to assemble. They are solid (a bit heavy so I put something on the bottom to slide easier) and so far the cushions have been easy to clean which was a concern of mine being in the kitchen. They are light (a little golder than the picture) but again I liked them even better because of it. I do feel like I'm leaning a bit forward in them so they could be a little more comfortable but I would still have gotten them even if I tried them first. The only downfall was that a piece of the slate was sticking out of the back of the chair (not even with the metal) and got caught on someone's shirt and it broke off very easily. I glued it back on and you can't even see it. But be careful. The slate will break. Also not thrilled with an email that I got promising me 10% off if I completed my order "TODAY" and yet when I did just because of that, the 10% did not come off and it kept telling me the code was wrong. I checked it several times.

I originally bought two of the counter height stools three years ago, and moved to a home where I needed four more. They have not changed in design and match the older ones perfectly. The microfiber seats always clean up like new, even from coffee, wine or catsup. They are always the first thing that people compliment on in my kitchen and I love them, too.
