Wanted to use this as a down light fixture. Emailed and called to make sure that was possible. No one could tell me. They did call the manufacture and confirmed that it was possible, Just think that info. should be given - as it is with other up light fixtures. The item came very quickly but there is a defect in the front of the fixture - and I don't really want to have to go through the time and hassel of returning to have it reshipped. Quality control?
