I received the barrel about a week ago and it had rained a few times so I have a little bit of experience with it. One thing you will want to do is elevate it for two reasons: 1. water pressure, 2. to make hose easier to attach. After the first rain, I had a lot of trouble getting the water out, so I drained it out and put it on a plastic stand I improvised. The pressure still isn't great, but at least I can get the hose on.
Also, the item was about twice as big as I expected. Not really a problem, but I did have to clear out some space and positioning it was a bit of a challenge, so just something to keep in mind.
It does look exactly as pictured. If you use it as a planter, be sure to put some rocks or something in the bottom before you plant anything because water will accumulate as it doesn't drain well.
The picture I attached is before I elevated and planted flowers. You'll have to tilt your head, sorry.

I was thrilled to find this for such a great price; however when it arrived the shipping box was very flimsy and upon reviewing the urn there was a huge indentation (approx 6" x 5") in the side of the plastic that cannot be pushed back out as it a very hard plastic (as I would hope) and now formed into the cavity. There is no way I will ship this back for return/exchenge, it would need new boxing, too cumbersome/heavy to deal with and the time and cost to box/ship would be prohibitive. Thankfully, I will be able to turn the urn so that the dent will be least visible and that it is an outside piece.

The RB is attractive and fairly easily assembled, but I was surprised that it didn't have the overflow tube inside like in the video I watched. Two other cons. 1. The spigot was difficult to insert. Had to start and retry multiple times before I was happy with the way it was entering. I was afrraid I would strip the plastic. 2) Not sure how the planter on the top isn't going to create debris issues.

I bought 2 of these last year to go on my downspouts from porch. They are amazing and saved me so much money from my water bill. I can say it took far longer than I expected to arrive and the boxes were very thin but no damage! The only negative thing I can say is they do not have a matching stand which is important to raise this up. The rise is very important for water flow. I have created something that I just don't like but for now is the best option available. So many people visit me and love these as well.

Our water barrel arrived in just two days! We were pleased with the overall look. It is put together very well. I was concerned because I read on line that the hose attachment was brass colored plastic, but we found that it is indeed a brass fixture. All I can say is that I would recommend this to anyone. Well made.
