The desk is crafted from durable poplar hardwood solids and cherry and birch veneers matched and finished in a warm, stately burnished cherry. All drawers are constructed with dovetail joinery and smooth, full-extension, ball-bearing guides. Four storage drawers can catch papers and folders, and two top drawers boast soft felt-lining to protect paperweights and fine writing tools. The two locking file drawers can accommodate letter or legal hanging file folders. Two pullout writing shelves above the drawers on either side offer additional space when you're working on a large task.

The top, felt-lined center drawer has a hinged, drop-front face and can be pulled out for use as a laptop or keyboard tray, or you can leave the drawer as-is and use it conventionally. A removable pencil tray is included. The desk's kneewell boasts a fixed bottom shelf for your CPU, bulky items, or tired feet, and built-in base levelers keep the whole unit steady. A wiring access hole in the back panel makes cord clutter a thing of the past, too, so you can focus on the tasks at hand.
