Description

The Round End Grain Butcher Block is made from oil-finished natural yellow birch hardwood, which is indigenous to the Northeastern U.S. and ranges in color from blond to a darker walnut shade; the natural variation in color allows this cart to coordinate with your existing decor. End grain construction is designed to cushion the knife blade every time you cut, reducing wear on your knives as well as preventing the board from getting nicked or scratched. It also creates a beautiful cross-hatched pattern in the natural wood surface. This butcher block is round and has four wooden ball feet with rubber pads on the underside, providing a solid work surface that won't slide across the countertop or leave scratches. This block is available in two sizes.

Catskill Craftsmen's manufactured items are made from naturally self-sustaining, non-endangered North American hardwoods, primarily birch and hard rock maple. All sawdust, shavings, and waste materials generated during the manufacturing process are converted into wood pellet fuel used to heat homes. This alternative heating source creates less ash and lower emissions than some other fuels. By operating their own wood pellet mill, Catskill Craftsmen reduces their wood waste to zero. As natural resources become even more valuable, Catskill Craftsmen will continue to advance proper stewardship of the pristine Catskill Mountain region.
