I was looking for a clock that took up little space on my night stand (so, was more vertical), was not lit unless I pressed a button, had large numbers, offered the typical "snooze" feature, and could set its own time and handle time changes.
This clock meets all those needs, and also adds some readouts like day, date, and alarm time setting, all of which were pluses to me. The clock is well balanced and I like it very much overall.
A few nits:
- It's battery powered only. This concerned me at first. The instructions claim that you'll have to replace the batteries about once a year, which is acceptable to me. Even though I was initially against this, I'm coming around on it.
- The alarm was a little louder than I preferred and there's no volume adjustment. I solved the problem by putting a piece of scotch tape over the sound hole. I sleep fairly lightly, and the clock is very close to my head -- I suspect that many people won't find it too loud at all.
- The combo snooze bar/light bar stretches across the top of the clock. I've found that I have to hit it more in the middle than on either side for it to work reliably.
- And my number one annoyance with the clock: Turning on or off the alarm requires pushing a sliding plastic toggle on the back of the clock. There are many mornings when I awake before the alarm, but my wife is still sleeping. Trying to find and turn off the the alarm quietly in the dark while I'm half asleep? Not my favorite part of the day.
Still, I would buy this clock again and I'm considering getting another for one of my kids.

This was listed under "Travel clocks". While it could be, it is a bit large. Additionally, it took half an hour to sync with the atomic clock, which could be a problem if you get to your destination late and go right to sleep hoping it syncs while you are asleep and wakes you up for your important meeting! I returned this item as it was to be used primarily for travel. Also, it isn't clear if this would work overseas.

Comments about R-Wave Get Up and Glow Alarm Clock by Seiko:
The clock looks great and set up with no problem. Love the large numbers. The only problem is glare, especially if there is a window or light nearby. The light feature mitigates the glare, but it can be inconvenient to push the light button if it is not nearby.

Comments about R-Wave Get Up and Glow Alarm Clock by Seiko:
I love this clock except for the fact it only allows you to hit the "snooze" button a max of 3 times. Some days I need more than 3 hits on the snooze....not a morning person at all!!

Comments about R-Wave Get Up and Glow Alarm Clock by Seiko:
I love the snooze alarm it stops on its own and then goes off again. Great clock set its own time! Not as sturdy as seiko clocks from 20 years ago. I could not give it 5 stars for that reason.

Would like to be able to have light on all night. Our TV no longer has 24 hr time displayed. I bought it to replace this problem by changing TV w/o display of time.
