I bought this lantern to act as a nightlight outside our guest studio. Since it only gets about 5-6 hours of direct sunlight a day, I let it charge four days before turning it on. The light is soft, but enough to illuminate the pathway and act as a beacon for our guests. I was surprised when I awoke the following morning to find the light still glowing softly in the predawn hours. After another day of charging for 5-6 hours it stayed illuminated for the second full night as well. The construction seems solid, although the materials are a bit lightweight. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this lantern.
