The assembly wasn't bad at all. The overall togetherness isn't pretty. Most if not all of the joining pieces won't stay tight together. Love the look of the toy box but don't think it will last long.

I looked online for a modern toy box with a large capacity for about five months. What I was finding cost between $450 and $800. I then stumbled across this toy box. It has very clean lines and has plenty of storage. I also like the fact that it is almost impossible for the child to pinch their fingers. However, during the process of putting this thing together I started to notice that the wood is very soft and will show age very easily. The hinge bearing device seems to only have two settings. Either you have to manually shut the lid or the lid will come crashing down. Not too sure that we are going to keep this one or decide to look for a nice storage ottoman.
