This clock is the perfect size for small night table or stand. It is really easy to read with bold numbers and hands. I guess I'm old fashioned as digital clocks require too much thought when it's the middle of the night and you want to know what time it is. The soft, glowing light is just enough to read the time but if you need more light, just hit the button on top. I also like the smooth motion of the second hand--like an electric school clock. The alarm sound is not annoying and pleasant enough to hear every morning.

The alarm is a little loud for my liking. I like the fact of it using 3 batteries for more dependability. Some have as few as 1. Available light feature is not startling when you check the time in middle of night.
