We bought an umbrella for our open patio. We tried to position the umbrella on its heavy cast iron base for the best shade. We spent most of our time grunting and sweating to move the umbrella. We thought that there had to be a better way. Then we found the Shademobile Rolling Umbrella Base with Locking Wheels. We filled it with a bag of playsand and what a difference! When we need to move the umbrella, we easily unlock the two wheels with our toes and with one hand, roll the umbrellas just where we want it. If that wasn't good enough, the tan color of the plastic base matches our patio furniture and umbrella perfectly.

This base was used by the water and worked great while it lasted. The ability to fill it with bricks at the site of use was great for transporting it to the beach. The wheels were essential for moving it. I only wish it had lasted a few more years. The wheels stopped working and the base cracked causing it to blow over in a mild wind. Can't find anything comparable on the market so will purchase again.

Comments about 90 to 125 lb Shademobile Rolling Patio Umbrella Base with Locking Wheels:
We received this stand and couldn't be more please. It was easy to roll even filled with brick and sand. However, the new stands are not 16" but 19 3/4" so if that works for you, you will receive a well made stand. We live in a windy area and even with a 11' umbrella it stayed in place.
