I am a 69 yr old who loves to find on the globe places country's that they talk about on the news so I can find where they are talking about and also when I am reading or studying about a certain country, I am so pleased about the light background and the rotation of the globe and the stand is also very complementary to any home decor.I can't find anything not to like about my purchase. Does not seem like a nearly $400 product
First-of-all, I suppose that I am upset that the product arrived without any hardware at all. It would have been nice to have it set up for by daughter's birthday the next day.

Globe itself looks nice at first brush, but closer examination reveals that there are small gaps all along the seams of the globe. The manufacturer crows about the fact that this globe is American-made...that only makes the lack of quality control more frustrating. Lest, you think that mine is a isolated situation, read the lackluster reviews elsewhere online of a number of the globes produced by Replogle.

This is a beautiful globe, I just hope it can withstand 5 kids using it. I wanted to have a piece that could be stylish yet sturdy. I have only had it a few weeks, but have enjoyed it and hope to use it as a teaching tool.
