The desk is a very nice piece of furniture for the price, perfect for what we wanted. The color was accurately represented by the picture on the website, and the option to see it from different angles (and to zoom in) was the next best thing to seeing it in a showroom. It is amazingly solid and sturdy.
The desk arrived quickly and assembled pretty easily, except for the drawer. That put me over the 20 minute assembly time! However, if the manufacturer's instructions had given a little more detail (or a larger diagram) for attaching the runners/guides for the drawer, it might have gone more easily for someone like me, who has diffuculty with spatial orientation.
Customer service was very helpful, though, relaying information from the manufacturer and forwarding a picture that enabled me then to finish up quickly.
(The complication with the drawer is the only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. Customer service itself would be 5-star. I'm really quite satisfied with the desk and with my experience with Hayneedle.)

Unpacked to find that the screws,handles etc. necessary to assemble were missing. Contacted Hayneedle and was told they would get the parts from manufacturer. Ten days later, contacted Hayneedle again and was told they couldn't get the parts. Their solution was for me to go to the handware store and purchase the parts..easier said then done when the instuctions don't tell you the size of the bolts and screws. Also desk had several scratches. Would have returned but it is too heavy and bulky to re-package. Very disappointed with Hayneedle.

Hardware missing, assembly directions poor. Had to go out and purchase additional hardware. While putting together on carpet, corner of desk chipped.

First, I would like to say that Hayneedle customer service is excellent. The web site is good -- and the customer service representatives are friendly and professional.
I am very pleased with the small mission desk. I only had a small space for my home office -- and this desk fit perfectly. Also, it is a well-constructed and attractive piece of furniture.
As others have commented, the instructions for the drawer guides are insufficient. At my request, Hayneedle sent some photos which helped me complete the assembly. I was advised by Hayneedle that they have asked the manufacturer to include the photos with the instructions. In addition, the top of the desk had a chip (probably happened in transit). Despite the problems, I rate the transaction as 5 stars -- and highly recommend Hayneedle for its quality, low-priced furniture and excellent customer service.
