A very attractive piece of furniture to use in the kitchen for storage and microwave. Well worth the money. The panes are made of plexi-glass but should be glass. The color looks more like cherry, rather than the cottage oak I ordered. I would definitely recommend this cabinet/hutch. Has decent storage room except the drawers, which are very small.

This hutch was placed in my kitchen. I needed some extra space to place some cooking pieces. I liked that it had shelf space for much of my baking sets. From afar, the piece looks beautiful. When you get closer, there are flaws. The two drawers come out easily of the unit. You can only pull them out slightly or the whole drawer will come out in your hands. When pushed in, the drawers do not sit flush with the unit so if you look at the drawers from the side, they look slightly tilted. The unit came with multiple cracks on the side. I was able to make them less apparent with some wood paint, but again, if you get close, a person who is looking will notice. It is easy to get side stepped in putting this unit together and put something on backwards and then can have disastrous consequences and hour later in the assembly process. I would have felt better about this item if I had gotten the 15% off that the site is now offering. I would recommend the product with hesitation. I wish the item hadn't had cracks and the pieces would fit together. It does hold quite a few items and standing far away, it looks lovely.

Arrived quicky and, if you follow the instructions, easy to assemble. Base is exceptionally sturdy and goes together well. The hutch was easy to put together, but not as sturdy. Main complaint--Hutch does not sit square/level on top of the base, had to shim it in the front. One small piece came off the back and it looks like cardboard. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase and planned use-using it for a coffee serving area.

For the size of product and the packaging it came in, this hutch could have been pre-assembled in two sections prior to delivery. Read the directions several times before attempting to assemble and THEN look at the pictures closely because this took 3 smart (and handy) adults several tries to get it right and even then, we had to disassemble and start over. Run to your furniture store and buy a similar item without the huge mess this could cause you.
