You'll love peeking out into your garden and seeing the lovely Smart Solar On-Demand Mermaid Solar Fountain running whenever you like. That's the beauty of smart solar - it stores extra energy to run whenever you say, even in cloudy weather. This means you'll enjoy watching the water flow in the mermaid's shell whenever you want.

The included solar panel with the On Demand option boasts a self-contained battery and easy-to-use on/off switch. When the switch is in the on position, the pump will run as usual, but will utilize the battery when clouds pass over. Excess power will be stored in the battery, too, to keep the fountain operating when the sun sets. When the switch is in the off position, the fountain will store all solar power gathered during the day in the battery for uninterrupted use after the sun goes down. In direct sunlight, the battery can fully charge in one day, and a full battery will function for up to six hours at night.

Special Note: Solar bird baths and fountains require plenty of direct sunlight to operate properly. Please be sure to have a sunny spot to place your bath or fountain. Also, the pump must never be operated dry (out of water). Dry operation permanently damages the pump.
