I would love to tell you there was something great 'bout this, but sadly, I've got nothing. We received what looked like a really well packaged box. 'Great, hopefully they packed it so well there won't be any blemishes,' is what came to mind when I first saw it.
This would not be the case. It's is not "beautiful New Zealand Pine construction," but is high density particle board. The first piece we pulled out was broken. I looked through the instructions, sure enough it was the drawer front piece. Then I was all like, I'll put it together, as it's on the bottom of the inside drawer, and won't be seen. Turns out also that when they packed it, the taped part of one of the shelves. I did not rip it off like a band-aid, instead I tried gingerly removing it -- finish came right off.
There is only a small lip on the front of this, so with the changing pad (which can't be more thank a half inch thick) is in, it's above the lip.
Will be returning this absolute junk, and getting the matching table to the Davinci Kalani crib we purchased. Which, is totally better in real life than the internets will lead you to believe.
tl;dr this unit is a piece of junk; buy something else.

I love Sorelle's "Florence" collection, and couldn't be happier with my Diaper Changer purchase from Hayneedle. The product arrived in secure packaging in a very timely manner and was easy to assemble. It looked exactly as it did online and we like all of the features, like the shelves underneath and the sliding drawer below the changer. Great product at an unbeatable price!
