The stately hutch provides more CD storage, adjustable shelving behind glass cabinet doors, and wainscot paneling. All pieces have finished backs and superior craftsmanship. Martin Furniture was founded in 1980 by Gil Martin in the San Diego suburb of El Cajon. Martin started the company in his garage with $400, a Craftsman table saw, and the business knowledge he gained from working for defense contractor, General Dynamics. Today, Martin Furniture specializes in American-made and imported office and home entertainment furniture. In 2003, it teamed up with Kathy Ireland's design company Kathy Ireland Home, creating furniture solutions for families.
