As an added benefit, each step has a built-in drawer perfect for clothing, toys, and more. You also have the option of adding space-saving storage drawers underneath the bottom bed. This bunk bed is a unique and smart choice for a multi-child room that's a little short on space. You get so much more than beds. Stairs are not interchangeable on both ends and can only be placed as the image shows. This product is proudly Made in the USA by Woodcrest.
Crafted of solid pine, this bunk bed has a natural, rustic look. The golden finish does a wonderful job of highlighting the wood's natural grain and beauty. You should expect to see some natural blemishes on the wood's surface. These bunks are not designed to separate into two separate beds. Twin slat packs are included with your purchase.
We take your family's safety seriously. That's why all of our bunk beds come with a bunkie board, slat pack, or metal grid support system. These provide complete mattress support and secure the mattress within the bunk bed frame. Please note: Bunk beds and loft beds are only to be used by children 6 years of age or older.

This is a great design especially for a child's bedroom. The steps are much safer than your little ones climbing up a ladder plus under the steps are storage drawers. I bought the drawers to go under the bed also. With this setup there is no need for a chest' just maybe a nice mirror somewhere. The beds are big enough and comfy enough for adults.

[...] *1 I opened the bed rail boxes only to find my hands started to turn brown. Upon inspection I noticed the stain was still wet. On the bottom of the rails. When staining they let it run down to the bottom of the rails and it just pooled there. *2 Upon opening the stair case and inspecting it. Wow the varnish smell was over whelming. I then did a quick inspection to find that 2 of the stairs were not nailed properly. The guy using the stapler missed the wood completely so it was just held on by 2 staples. (not a huge problem easy fix) but should never arrive like that. Lastly the free mattresses arrive in a box folded in half. That should give you an idea of the quality mattress you are getting. So my main gripes 1. Varnish smell was awe full, So bad that I would let it sit outside during the day to bake in the sun for week and it still over whelming. 2. The Wet varnish inexcusable. You can tell they build these beds as fast as they can 3. They are built cheaply with staple guns and they shoot a screw every so often to tighten things up. The wood on the riser is cheap plywood looks real cheap.4. We were very happy that these were made in the USA, but I guess to keep up with the prices of China they are not made by American Craftsman, They are made by some guy earning 7.00 an hour and getting a bonus for how many they can crank out.These beds are worth about 500.00 not a [$] for the condition they arrive and the work you need to do to get them kid friendly.Bunk beds are not hard to put together but they send you a set of photocopied directions for one of their beds not necessary your specific model. So if your not mechanical it could be frustrating with all the screws etc[...]

Good solid wood on most of the bed. The inside of the drawers are fiberboard stapled to the wood. Needed tweeking upon unpacking. Had to push staples back into wood. Also directions were a little hard to follow but not real hard to figure out how to put together. Free mattresses are adequate for small children but will need to be replaced. The stairs are so much better than a ladder. All in all I am pleased with this bed and would definitely recommend this bed to anyone.

No where near the quality one would expect. Made in [*] or some other cheap labor country would have better quality control. The fact that they use Made in America to sell the product is said.Cracked wood, scraps of wood, staples in place of screws, busted handles and wood cut shorter then that of what is needed to match it counter parts. No Quality control.Sad it is not built right the first time around.

I love the fact that it's made in the USA. The color is perfect and the overall quality is good. The backboard to the drawers is a little less than quality - it could have something better than a colored piece of cardboard but otherwise, it's great.
Service and delivery comments:
The delivery process on this was terrible. I had to call the company that was supposed to deliver the bed because although the 'tracker' indicated that the bed had been delivered, I didn't have it. When they finally delivered the bed my husband had to help get it off hte truck because there was only one person and they left it in my garage..... this meant my husband and I had to move it into the house.......and it's heavy.

I recently purchased the Model STH500 bunk bed from your Company, Woodcrest Mfg. Upon delivery I unpacked the staircase/drawers section first. I was amazed and appalled at it`s condition. It looked like someone got trapped inside during construction and was trying to break out. Every stair was pulled up with the nails showing; the kick plates were also dislodged with the nails showing. Several vertical boards were pulled away with nails showing. The metal drawer guides were not securely attached at the rear. One drawer pull handle was cracked completely from one side to the other and was rendered useless. The rear portion that closes off the unit was broken off the mounting staples and was bent unattached in the box. Several small vertical spacers from between the drawers were broken off and were laying inside the bottom of the unit. It appeared that there obviously was no quality control inspection before shipping. It took a few hours to reconstruct the unit to be usable. My wife pleaded with me not to return it and that I should make the repairs myself. We needed the bed NOW! Such an expensive item should definitely have been in top notch condition when delivered. After all it proudly stated MADE IN THE USA BY Americans.
I was not pleased having to make repairs. Sad to say, I would not recommend it to others for this reason. My wife`s thoughts are; It looks so beautiful now that it`s up.

If you're looking for a bunkbed that's not made of particle board then this is your bed. Nice quality, American made, pine wood, and sturdy. Looks like it was made to last! Very happy with this bed.
