Great buy for the money. The wood color is slightly darker than what appears in the picture which was great for our application. I wouldn't call it espresso, it's more of a Dark Mohagony. Packaging was sub par, but it arrived in great condition. I would strongly suggest this purchase.

this can pass for a 4 star item. It looks very nice and the glass top is thick. For appearance I have no complaint. Quality is the issue. The first one I ordered the glass pieces were crushed and 2 legs were dented and chipped and another leg did not seem to have the finish applied to about a 6" portion of the leg. Hayneedle sent me a new one. From the old one I saved the one good leg and the copper ring. On the second table, the copper ring was slightly bent - enough to have the table top wobble a little so I used the prior copper trim ring. 1 of the legs was chipped and dented in the 2nd package so I used the saved leg from the first package. Once assembled it feels sturdy and looks good. The table legs look like real wood but is probably a spray on coating as several of the legs in the first package were chipped and dented and you could see the fiberboard showing through. The packaging was inferior. I will try to upload picture of the opened box before I removed anything from the box. The package had very little padding or bracing. The table legs were placed in plastic bags but none of the bags were closed and 3 of the legs not even in the bagss when package was opened. It is hard to imagine that this would not arrive in a damaged condition due to the packaging.

Nice, very pleased after setup...Works well with my limited space in living room...Packing did not seem that good, box was damaged but despite that no damage to product. A small imperfection on copper ring but not too noticeable...I am sure shipment personal are not happy with delivery...Extremely heavy, thick glass but has wheels once assembled....

I saw this in a store and decided to check online for a better price since I wanted 1 cocktail table and 2 end tables and the store had a package of 1 cocktail + 1 end for exact same brand and model. For the cocktail table that was shipped to me the glass sections were shatterred into about 4 inch size pieces, 2 of the legs were damaged in shipping and the third leg had a a problem with the finish in a 3 inch section - I couldn't tell if it was a factory fininshing issue or if the leg had been somehow rubbed very badly in shipping to rub off a portion of the finish. Seeing how 2 of the legs were quite dented and the finish chipped away made me realize this table may not keep its good looks for long as the legs seem a bit lower quality that the rest of the table pieces but they should be okay as long as they don't have contact - it would seem like if you hit them with a vacuum it could dent or chip the legs, and possibly kids with their toys. However, I am getting a replacement because my wife really likes this look. Can't comment on assembly yet as the one I received will go into the trash. (The end tables haven't arrived yet.)For the price, though, if these eventually arrive without damages or defects, I would probably rate it at 3.5 stars.
