Description

Steiner 7x50 Commander XP C

The most important innovation in the Commander XP are the XP Optics; a new high definition, broad band optical formula that features record setting light transmission for times in the dark and clear, sharp, high contrast and comfortable images in daylight.

In addition to the XP Optics, is a new high-tech optical coating on both the objective and eyepieces called "NANO Protection". This new coating repels water and moisture off the lenses leaving them clear of water or moisture. Like windshield wipers for your binoculars, you won't ever have to wipe them clean of moisture. The secret lies in a unique permanent molecular bonding substance that makes the lenses so smooth, that absolutely nothing adheres to them.

Comments about Steiner 7x50 Commander XP w/Compass Binoculars:

I proudly purchased a pair of Steiner Commander Binocs in 1983 while stationed in Bavaria. They were ordered directly from the plant in Bayreuth,Germany. I have used them in Alabama, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Germany, Bristish Virgin Islands, Saudi Arabia and Florida. If there is a description of Perfection , it would have to define my Steiner Binocul;ars. Beleve it or not the battery in the Compass light has never been changed and works as good as the first day I bought them in 1983.

Comments about Steiner 7x50 Commander XP w/Compass Binoculars:

Fantastic Binoculars and not just because my last name is Steiner. One quirk; however, each Steiner is made for a specific location. I bought a Zone 2 calibrated compass made for US and I actually need a Zone 1 calibrated compass for Canada. The compass is therefore off and you cannot calibrate it yourself. It would be a pain and extra cost to have it sent back to re-calibrate. Make sure that before you buy you request and are aware of the zone that you need for this binocular. Otherwise, the binocular itself is pure heaven.Jeff Steinerjeffsteiner13[@]

Best marine bino I have ever looked trough

    By Frank

    from Undisclosed

Comments about Steiner 7x50 Commander XP w/Compass Binoculars:

I had the opportunity to try the new Commander XP in Europe last fall. Our skipper had one when we did a sailing trip at night in Croatia. We were all blown away by its light performance as we could see all the little islands even with the skies being overcast. I had owned several Steiners before, but this is by far the best one I had ever looked trough. Looking through them at night actually appears to make everything brighter and you see a lot more than with your bare eyes.
