We received the rack in just a few days before Christmas and free shipping. It's nice but not as sturdy as we thought. We have our microwave on it but had to remove the rubber things on the bottom of it to make it fit on the bottom shelf. I have to be careful when using the microwave because I'm afraid I might knock some items off the other shelves because it shakes some. My husband didn't have any problems putting it together. I don't think the wicker baskets will last long, when they slide in and out it sounds like they are catching on the frame. A canvas basket would be better for storage of items. I don't think I'd suggest using it for a microwave stand, other than that, it's an attractive & good rack for the price.

I waited a long time to find the "right" bakers rack for my kitchen and I finally thought this was it. I was thrilled that it took all of 15 minutes to assemble and appears to be sturdy but once assembled I started noticing several issues. The first was that the top shelf is only able to be attached at 3 points because the mfgr. placed a welded piece (in front) 1/2" too low to accept the post holding it in place - meaning we have to find a way to jury-rig it to stabilize it. The second issue was that once assembled, I noticed more than a dozen tiny nail holes in the surface of ALL THREE shelves. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the holes had been stained to minimize seeing them. Once I placed items on the shelves on top of the holes they are not visible but that's not the point. The wood was apparently re-fabricated out of "seconds."
Also, screws holding the metal frame underneath the wood shelves stick out and are highly visible from across the room - they were not counter-sunk as they should have been. The welds are also lumpy and visible on the rack. The baskets are also junk - they had "splints" sticking out from all directions and the baskets were unevenly colored. After 24 hours I already have broken pieces of splint on the floor from sliding the baskets in and out (carefully) several times to put things in them. I can't imagine what daily use will do to them. I will be replacing them with far sturdier "Swedish Store" baskets in the next week - adding another $60 to the price.
Sure, the finished rack looks nice now that I have placed items on it but the BOTTOM LINE IS THAT FOR THE PRICE PAID, NOT MUCH CARE, ATTENTION OR PRIDE WAS TAKEN IN ITS MANUFACTURE, MAKING ME REGRET SPENDING THE MONEY ON IT.
The only reason I will not be sending it back is because I don't want to have to take everything out of it and off of it, take it apart and then put it all together back in the box to send back.
I have never written a negative review anywhere for any product (I usually skip reviews altogether) - but the purchase of this item was a major disappointment.

This bakers rack was purchased to provide a desk space for my kitchen. I use the lower shelf to store my laptop, and was able to use some of the baskets for hanging files. Since I'm using it in my kitchen, I covered the wooden shelves with placemats. I felt the shelves could have had a better finish.

I was looking for something tall, with baskets, shelves, and thin to fit in a certain area. I looked all over and finally found this. It is perfect. It has plenty of space and is pretty sturdy overall. I would definitely recommend it.

I bought this to store toys and vegetables. My kitchen counter was overtaken by veggies and I had a wall begging for a shelf. I am so glad I found this one- it was very easy to assemble, looks great and holds the exact amount of stuff I was hoping it would (maybe even a little more). Love it!
