Description
If you're a dreamer who bristles at the thought of rigid shelving systems, then the Tag Connections Wall Bookcase is for you. This modern modular shelving system - perfect for books, curios, or home accents - is endlessly customizable. The sturdy, self-supporting frames are made from 0.75-inch-square steel tubing and can be used to hold the plane-sliced wood veneer shelves in several attractive configurations. Each individual frame creates one corner of the bookcase. Use two frames to support five shelves in a traditional set-up, or let your imagination run wild. Optional configuration use four frames to support 10 shelves. These arrangements can be used to transform this wall bookcase into a centerpiece room divider or the mixed-use curio keepsake shelf you've always dreamed of.

Since I will be placeing a printer and lighting on theses shelves I would request attachment clips for the routing of wires. In it's place I will use black zip ties. Overall, satisfied.

I needed bookshelves but have light thumb switches on the only wall available to put shelves. These very attractively solved my problem and I don't have to anchor to the wall.

Comments about Tag Furnishings Tag Connections Modular Bookcase:
Very nicely styled modern shelf unit. The wood and metal finishes are well done. The shelves are veneer, but seem more sturdy than typical particle board. We will see if they sag over time. You get 5 shelves with each unit so the picture that shows 2 units with 15 shelves isn't really possible, unless they sold the shelves separately. We tried some configurations of the metal racks which were less sturdy than others: some configurations seemed they could be knocked over easily. Overall very satisfied.

Comments about Tag Furnishings Tag Connections Modular Bookcase:
I live in a stacked townhouse, which basically means I have to walk up 3 flights of stairs just to "get home". The shelves are extremely heavy for one person to lug up the stairs. But it was worth the five trips up and and down the stairs. I bought the double set like the picture. They look fantastic. The weight from the wood shelves sucks bringing them upstairs, but are worth it when it comes together. I used them against a wall, but after I was done I seriously considered using them as a room divider. They would be perfect for that. The shelves are all notched to sit on the metal sides and the entire unit is extremely sturdy once its together. The only complaint that I have is that you cannot buy additional shelves. If you buy the double set as shown, you are short 5 shelves. You can't just buy shelves and place them on (I tried) and when you move the books, the shelves fly off because they aren't notched. I will eventually buy my own wood and notch and stain them. But I think its bad that Tag and Hayneedle have a nifty picture and didn't both to find out if people could actually buy it. The product description that I read so that one of this product's selling points was that you could get creative, like in the picture shown. But you can't because you can't buy extra shelves. Otherwise, LOVE these bookcases. Finally, not a complaint, just an observation, they are not that tall. Not as tall as a typical bookcase.
