The assembly instructions are not clear. Each part should be identified by a letter, ie.part A inserts into part A, etc.

I live with a Miniature Dachshund. At first she would not go near the steps, however after a little coaxing she did go up and down.
I highly recommend this product. It is sturdy and can also be used outside as entrance and exit off a deck.

For an older dog, it still takes effort for a small dog to get up the stairs. The carpeting is helpful since paws tend to slide off the plastic areas.
