The Wall Hugger is also a nice option as it allows you to place your recliner within inches of the wall, allowing greater flexibility in your space. Pull back on the patented Omega Reclining system handle to recline the entire chair. This handsome recliner is packed with outstanding features to give you long-lasting comfort and support.

2. 100% steel seat box, the strongest seat box ever manufactured. No warping or splitting in this critical area!
3. Direct Drive Cross Bar ensures that both sides of the mechanism operate together in sequence for longer life.
4. Unitized steel base, the strongest, most durable rocker base in the recliner industry. Resists bending or wear.
5. Spring system: heavy 8-gauge sinuous steel springs in the seat provide strength, comfort, and flexibility. Springs are inserted into the steel seat box with computer-positioned steel clips. No wood to warp or split.

7. Each corner joint of the solid hardwood seat box is duble doweled and steel "L" brackets are screwed on for durability and quality.

Many may think I'm a moron, friends and co-workers do not (ima nearly retired nerd). Teddy looked nice when it arrived, we moved into house and discovered that the 21" seat height is quite high. I tried looking underneath to see if there was adjustment and my thumb spun on the swivel platform, pinching it into the sharp metal framework and cutting it to the bone.After sufficient bandaging, we tried them (two) out and they are comfortable, though when it was time for a food or other break, we could not get the chaise to return to down position. You Really have to press down Hard with your legs at the same time as pulling on the recline handle to get it to go down.Agree with other reviewers and the name, it is very easy to fall asleep in Teddy.. however, the third evening that I did so, I awoke to my head and elbow hitting the rear speaker, as Teddy had lost his balance and flipped over backwards. Being a swiveling chair, this will be difficult to do, but you Need to have a wall or table behind him, or keep bandages handy as the fall is considerable depending on what you run into (FYI, Klipsch speakers do Not move when you fall into them). I am 6'2"/~200lbs and sit deep in the seat 'pocket' for the needed lumbar support - I'm not sure what I did that has not been discovered by R&D / engineering, but there you have it.Last, a spot showed up on the arm on unpacking, but it was mostly hidden, so we weren't going to complain. The spot was apparently some sort of acid, as it is now steadily eating the material from the original spot, a thumb's width as I write this.[...]For all that have read this far, I presume that quality control is failing at Jackson, given all the great reviews that I used to make my choice. Make SURE that the seller will stand behind the product because Jackson Furniture gives you no means to even talk to them, [...]

This chair is nothing but quality and I would have given it a 5 except for the fact that the back of the chair goes back too easily. This may be okay for a lighter person but for someone 6 foot and 245 pounds I wish there was a way to tighten it. I took a chance on buying it on line after not finding anything in the local stores and living in Orange County California that says volumes. I really feel you can't go wrong as it is a great chair and I am already finding it way too easy to fall asleep in it. Also wish that there was a way to have tried it out in my area as I would have purchased one sooner.
