Now thats strong! Check out the JMI case being put to the ultimate test.
The Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) case includes two lockable latches, three steel-reinforced handles, a 3" by 34" steel hinge and die-cut foam lining with compartments for telescope, eyepieces, finder (must be detached and inserted into a foam compartment) and accessories. It can be carried or pulled using the attached wheels. The foam is configured at the factory for the SN-8. You simply pull out precut sections to increase the cavity size to match the SN-10.
Outside dimensions of the OTA case are approximately 40-1/2" x 17-1/2" x 15-1/4" and its empty weight is approximately 21.2 lbs. The shipping box is approximately 40-5/8" x 15-5/8" x 18-1/2" and the shipping weight is approximately 26.0 lbs. All values are subject to slight changes.

Comments about Jims Mobile (JMI) Telescope Case for Meade LXD75 SN8/10 Telescopes:
The case is well made and has little wheels on it, which is useful. If you are looking for something to store the 10" OTA in your house for easy accessibility I would not recommend this, but wasn't able to find anything else. You can't store the 10" with the eyepiece and viewfinder attached. So, to transport it to a viewing site safely it's great, but it would be a hassle to have to remove the pieces when I am just storing it in my house most of the time. I keep the case open and put a dust sheet over it for easy accessibility at home. If you don't mind removing those two components, the case is very snug and well built for the 10" LXD75.
Comments about Jims Mobile (JMI) Telescope Case for Meade LXD75 SN8/10 Telescopes:
I liked the idea of a case for my new telescope, but frankly, if I had it to do over, I'd have saved my money and built a nice wooden case my self. The case halves match up poorly, the spotter scope doesn't even fit when the case is used for the 10" telescope (it's a one size fits all for the 8" and 10") and you don't find it out until you've removed all the extra unneeded foam. Definitely NOT recommended.
