The look is, overall, what I wanted and expected: Clean, contemporary,and the stools are comfortable, but the quality is far below what I consider acceptable. Specifically, the "chrome" legs of these bar stools began to peel upon assembly. They are a cheap base metal wrapped in a thin and flaking foil. Even though no one has mentioned noticing this defect, it ruins my pleasure in the purchase and will, no doubt, get worse with wear.
