Available in three finish options, the Caldwell Stackable Horizontal Bookcase is constructed from engineered wood for lasting quality and low maintenance. This material is highly resistant to cracking and warping - more so even than solid wood, and it allows cost savings without sacrificing quality or longevity. The pecan and espresso options feature wood veneers seamlessly bonded to the wood, and the vanilla option features a durable painted finish.

I bought two of these storage shelves to stack on top of each other and they arrived in perfect shape.
I've never put a bookcase together by myself and although the instructions recommended 2 people it was pretty easy even for one person.
The only thing that bothered me a little bit was that the back panel on both shelves was a little too long and didn't fit flush.Theres a tiny gap in the back on one side as a result but this is not noticeable from the front.
All in all they are exactly what I was looking for and I might even buy a few more units.

At least one cam connector actually buckled out the board that it was in, leaving an unsightly bulge on the side of the unit.
Generally speaking these are the quality you should expect for the price, I guess... good enough, but not thrilling...

The bookcase look good, they are well made for the most part, and they were easy to assemble. I only gave a four starts because one of the metal cams used to assemble broke when tightened (really wish there was an extra one included) and there are a few dings from shipping. I love the stackability, it makes them very easy to handle for one person.

It is mostly pressed board, BUT the fasteners were better than expected. It was quite simple to put together and sturdy once together. It looks good once together. I plan to buy a few more.

I just purchased a new home and wanted a nice looking bookcase to include. This was an easy purchase and easy piece to put together. However, the bookcase is the same as the childs toy organizer shelf so I was confused it was the wrong product when it shipped. Also, upon receipt the instructions were difficult to follow despit the shelf being simple to assemble. My only other gripe would be that the stickers marking the pieces are not easy to remove and visible along with the screws on the insides of the shelf. The wood is of great quality and they literally stack on top of each other. No additional assembly is needed to connect them. I would reccomend this.

Purchased two for our record collection, looks as good in person as it does in the picture. Had no use for the cubby boxes but still a great buy.

This bookcase took a little time to assemble since I purchased four. One suggestion I have for the manufacturers is to put prefabricated holes in the bookcase for attaching the back panel to the bookcase. Nevertheless, I will purchase another to double as a bench (for kids) and a bookshelf.
