Made of solid American maple and finished in a warm brown cherry, the Philadelphia Grandfather Clock features a stately crown and a full-size birds eye maple inlay. In the center, an individual hand carved design of solid wood pairs with bold hand carved column elements that frame the round fluted columns. The lower door has a full 1-inchbeveled glass which carries over to the side panels, The lower door also has hand polished burl corner accents. Dual internal lights adds a perfect backlight to the pierced moon dial giving the impression of stars in the universe. The Brushed pewter finished dial is framed by solid maple, and along with the 270-millimeter pendulum, has accented, raised, pewter-finished cast corner designs along with matching accent banded weight shells. The lower base carries a modified Bombe' design and shaped lowe panel. Thetriple-chime movement plays our choice of Westminster, Whittington, or St. Michael's chimes, with a separate hour strike to count the passing hour. An automatic night silence option and remote seconds hand are also featured.
