This weather station is great my husband love's it.Does everything it is suppose to.The only thing it is missing is a light other then that it was a great chritmas gift.He wanted to use it so he went outside dug a 2 foot hole for the pole and note the ground was frozen. But it is now up and running.

Very accurate but display too small

Great device and accurate readings. The display is too small to read from anywhere in a room unless you are two feet away. Backlight feature would be helpful as well.

Comments about The Weather Channel Professional Weather Center by La Crosse Technology:

I replaced an older LaCrosse unit that I have had in service for about 6 years. New one replaced the old almost perfectly. I had to make up a new base to hold the rain unit as the new one is a bit longer than the old one was. Once installed I fired up the inside unit and after setting the date/time etc. I again had a working weather station ready for the winter. Much easier to program than my older unit.

Comments about The Weather Channel Professional Weather Center by La Crosse Technology:

EVERYTHING WORKS EXCEPT THE WIND GAUGE. THIS IS NOT A SERIOUS INSTRUMENT. I PUT IT THROUGH HURRICAN ISAAC AND HAD WINDS OF AT LEAST 100MPH AND I NEVER HAD A READING OVER 39MPH. THIS IS MY SECOND WEATHER CENTER BY LA CROSSE AND NEITHER HAD ANY ACCURATE WIND READINGS. I CONSIDER THIS WEATHER CENTER AS A TOY AND NOT TO BE RELIED ON. CUSTOMER SERVICE AT LACROSSE WAS OF NO HELP ON MY LAST CENTER SO I WILL NOT BOTHER WITH THEM THIS TIME. I WAS FOOLED TWICE BUT NOT AGAIN. I PLAN ON CANCELLING MY OTHER ORDER
