Hydrofarm Thirsty Light Classic - Set of 6Item#: HN-HDR078
6 Thirsty Lights
Never again will you have to guess at whether it's time to water the plants once you have the Hydrofarm Thirsty Light Classic - Set of 6. This intuitive digital plant sensor measures the moisture level of a potted plant, blinking its LED light when it's time to water. Designed to be unobtrusive, it stays in the soil where it continuously monitors conditions while it tests the moisture level once every second. Drypoint, the circuit that drives the device, is capable of sensing 5 different levels of drying. The light will blink faster as the soil gets dryer, increasing in urgency. Once it reaches the fifth level (completely dry) the device goes into standby mode, emitting a double blink every three seconds. There's even a low-battery mode: a slow triple blink. Conveniently sold in package of six, the Thirsty Light comes with a comprehensive and informative user and watering guide, and it is backed by a 30-day manufacturer warranty.

Comments about Hydrofarm Thirsty Light Classic - Set of 6:
The idea behind this is really great. The problem is I don't own a battery factory. The batteries that came with these only lasted a week at best. I replaced the batteries and in less tha 2 weeks the batteries were dead.
Like I said , great idea but I can't afford to keep replacing the batteries every 2 weeks
