This shaker is just what I was looking for- elegant, well-made, and strong. The lid is heavy metal polished to a lovely shine and it fits snugly on the base with the help of a clear rubber gasket. Shaker is an impressive weight but not too heavy to use. Gave this as a gift and the recipient was very happy.

I love this shaker. I looked high and low for something that looked appropriate on top of a small vintage cocktail bar that I inherited from my aunt. I found it! It's very hefty, which makes me feel like even though it looks fragile, it's actually quite strong. It's a gorgeous piece. Its only downside is that the top doesn't always fit perfectly onto the base (it has rubber inside the lid which prevents it from leaking and from chipping the crystal, but also makes it hard to place it's lid on straight). I'm very, very happy with this purchase!
