Have used this monocular for sports events on occasion and for a quick look (better then the naked eye) at something when hunting. When used with my Zeiss Victory 10x56 on a tripod they do provide a decent view of an object but obviously with a small field of view. I am glad I own it but a replacement for a good spotting scope it is not unless you want to save the back pack weight when hiking a few miles from the nearest road.
