Description
This 28 bottle unit can be placed on a table top or be free-standing to keep your wine at just the right temperature. It features a black cabinet with stainless steel door trim and handle with a sturdy wire shelf racking system for individual bottle storage. Because of its thermo-electric cooling system, which involves very few moving parts, your wine will be protected from unnecessary vibration. Thermo-electric cooling is not only good for your valuable wine collection, but also for the environment. Using absolutely no ozone-depleting chemicals such as CFCs or HCFCs you will be sure that you are doing your part to preserve the environment.
The VT-28 TEDS uses dual paned glass windows, a technology that has been proven in the construction industry. They have better insulation properties, better UV protection, and are easier to clean. This energy efficiency will lead to less electricity usage and savings in energy bills throughout the years.
Note: Single Zone wine coolers are intended to store only one type of wine at a time, as they have only one temperature zone that can be set to cool either red, white, or sparkling wine.

Attractive. But that's about it. Does not chill wine at accurate temps. & does not cool to lowest setting. Very loud. Lasted about 3 months if that.

We bought the unit a couple months ago to start storing our reds that we are aging. I have noticed the shelves are a little weak as they sag into the lower bottles. The other issue in the temp. I have it set to 54, the lowest setting, yet the coldest it has gotton was 56. I holds pretty steady between 56-58. For those looking to purchase, take in consideration the temperature of your room, since that seems to determine the temp of the unit. Very nice looking and very quiet.

[...]was very easy to set up, and it has held the temperature well in the last few weeks. It is very, very quiet which is nice since we have it in our living/dining room. We may buy another in a month or two to hold more wine.

I measured my cabinet to insure clearance around the fridge (4 inches in back, etc.). But when I close the doors on the cabinet, the fridge overheats. The word "free standing" could be made more clearly. Also, I understand the reason for a max temp of 55, but in Texas we like things cold. If I had understood the max temp, I probably would not have ordered.
I would recommend to a friend, but would make sure they understand exactly what they are getting.

Theres not much to say but I know I bought a good cellar. Precise temperature I have to say. I have a second temperature/humidity gauge and they tell me the same thing.
