These are great for bird and animal watching. Optics are very good for price range. Focus wheel is tight and a bit difficult to rotate as a result, but being waterproof, it's worth it. Construction appears solid. Case is well built, but would have been better if it was not open on the sides, allowing dirt to get on the lens. Great field of vision, but if you want to see something that's within a few feet from you, this is not going to do the job. I was not looking for that feature and they suit me just fine.
