Comments about Vortex 8x42mm Crossfire Binoculars:
For the price this has been a good purchase. I narrowed my search down to roof prism, waterproof, one to two hundred dollar range in a bird friendly 8x42. Also I wanted a closer focus range of 6 ft. This pair won out on all the counts. It zeros in clearly and while not "tiny" or super light weight it works in the price range just fine. I think I would have to pay more for something really small with the same features. As with any you just have to work with the adjustments according to directions for your eyes. Also you need to adjust for glasses or sunglasses so get a binoc that will work with glasses. It came with the accessories and the company gives it a standing warranty as well. That was a nice feature I did not expect.

Comments about Vortex 8x42mm Crossfire Binoculars:
I use binoculors for concert events, outdoor activities, bird watching, and general use. I love the moderate size, feel, sharpness and clarity of the image, as well as the easy focus and dubabilty of the Vortex Crossfire. The only weaknesses are the accessories (strap, carry case, lens caps) which all binoculars seem to suffer. Dress up the accessaries and we have a perfect five!

Great binoculars. We removed the lens covers that are somewhat of a nuisance when they hanging down while the binoculars are in use. No other complaints.

Comments about Vortex 8x42mm Crossfire Binoculars:
Used them is West Texas Hunting and they worked great! Their not quite as clear as the $1500.00 ones but VERY close. Works well with or without eye glasses. These worked well picking up Rams well over 1000ft away on the side of a mountain, not an easy task. Unless you have $1500.00 burning a hole in your pocket. Buy these, their the next best thing. They compeat with the ones that cost around $600.00 to $800.00. For much Less. Vortex hit one over the fence!
