Description
The Waterford Jewelry Armoire in High Gloss White is a classic, convenient way to protect and organize your favorite pieces. In fact, you'll probably find yourself wearing them more often, since they'll be so easy to access and put away.
This armoire has an elegant look with wood construction, smoothly curved front drawers, and Queen Anne arched legs. A high gloss white finish provides a tasteful contrast to the silver-toned hardware. The front of the unit features six drawers of graduated sizes, each containing various divided compartments to store pieces of all sizes and shapes: the top drawer has nine compartments, the second drawer has six compartments, and the rest of the drawers have open storage. The top of the armoire opens to reveal a handy compartment complete with mirrored lid. Dividers make three storage spaces for items you wear most often, like watches and bracelets, plus ring rolls; you can even keep your car keys here and use it as a type of valet on busy mornings, where you know you can find everything you need for the day.
And there's more: the two sides of the armoire open outward, revealing doors lined with hooks and catch ropes that are meant to keep necklaces and chains organized and tangle-free. Just loop the necklace over the hook and let it fall inside the rope; it'll stay in place without swinging or twisting. Above the necklace hooks, you'll find slots to hold eight pairs of earrings on each door. This armoire is fully lined, from the drawers to the doors, with a soft, protective brown fabric, and weighs 40 pounds. Minor assembly required.

Overall I'm pleased with this item, especially after reading the previous reviews. The construction quality is to be expected for the price. The only thing I have to complain about is -- I have two hanging bags of jewlery-- and this item can not store it all. So with that being said- if you have tons of jewlery then this item maybe be helpful for your fancier pieces. I just need to get rid of some pieces.

I was extremely disappointed with this. My sisters and I ordered this for my mom for Mother's Day - and shipping from Hayneedle was great. Arrived on the Friday before - perfect.
Unfortunately, after unboxing it, it was very disheartening. I would have liked to return it, but given that there were only two days until Mother's day - I didn't really have a choice.
Here are my observations - this is by no means an exhaustive list:
- The mirror that sits inside of the lid of the top of the unit was glued in VERY crooked. There was over a 5/16" gap on the left and top of the area that has been routed to accept the mirror - it was VERY ugly and extremely poor workmanship.
- The knobs are ALL corroded a bit. Perhaps it is supposed to be antiqued, and this was by design?
- There are chips of paint missing from many different places on the piece.
- This is not real wood. The majority of it is particle board with some plywood.
- In the locations where there is ply wood, the grain hasn't been sanded/primed enough - you can see the plywood grain through it.
- One of the locations that accepts the leg was broken I had to actually fashion a new piece of wood in it.
- There were saw blade marks in three different locations.
- VERY dirty. Many smuges all over the piece. I had to clean a LOT of it.
- Inside of the drawers, there was a lot of excess glue on the felt when they glued the felt in - very ugly.
- The painting job of this is TERRIBLE. There are many locations that you can see the wood because the paint was too then. Then, in other locations there are drips because they applied the paint too thick.
- The rails for the drawers are not level - thus, the drawers all of inconsistent gaps and depth.
I'm sure I"m missing things. As I said, it was EXTREMELY disappointing, especially given the price. I would not pay more than $50 for this. Really ruined the Mother's Day present.
