I am a griller. I have both gas and charcoal grills. Each has its place in the grilling world. With gas, I like to cook French fries, pizza, veggies and fruit in addition to the basic meats. The Porcelain-Enameled Griddle provided an excellent median on which to cook potatoes and pizza and provide both with a crisp crust. To use it you remove the right side grill and replace it with the cast iron griddle. I was concerned the Porcelain-Enameled coating on the cast iron would not provide a sufficient non-stick surface to crisp potatoes, etc. I was concerned it would stick and tear off the crisp coating as you turned over the potato. I had been using a seasoned cast iron skillet. The griddle worked perfectly, just as good as the seasoned cast iron. Try the Porcelain-Enameled and you will discover, as did I, that it is an excellent addition to your weber genesis.

Ive been waiting for Weber to release a griddle thats fits the newer Genesis model, the one with the knobs at the front. Here it is. Now i can cook breakfast and stir fries on the grill. Roll on summer!
