This is a very pretty piece of furniture. It seems very solid and well put together and I'm excited to find a place for it in our move to our new house next week.
The color though it says its dark brown is really pretty much black with a little bit of brown streaks in it. It came with a touch up pen which was nice. It came all assembled except for the feet which screw on. It is very heavy and I won't attempt to move it on my own, about 165 pounds.
My only complaint is I wish it was about 2" wider because I cannot find an all in one printer to fit on the bottom. The dimensions given are total and do not take into account the offset of the door etc. A small printer would work that isn't an all in one though.
This will be a nice addition to my great room.

The desk arrived damage Hayneedle agreed to return at their expense but failed to provide the company with the appropriate phone number to contact me for pick up information. it took more than a week to get a phone call and I'm still waiting for them to pick it up. Will never buy a piece of furniture and have it shipped again. Not worth the Aggravation!

The desk is absolutely wonderful as is the customer support at Hayneedle. I ordered the desk at the beginning of April and it finally arrived. The desk was back ordered forever and then it arrived damaged. Hayneedle arranged the damaged desk be picked up. 2 PTO days spent. They shipped a new one and then I asked that they allow the desk to be checked at delivery. The deliverer saw it too was damaged. PTO day #3. The customer support person at Hayneedle didn't re-order the desk when I called. I found this out after I called asking where desk number 3 was. It was ordered and then the delivery date got messed up. It was finally delivered a week ago undamaged. PTO day #4. It took 4 days of my PTO and a lot of time on the phone with Hayneedle and Pilot, and 3 different tips to the deliverer. This is made by the same company that made the desk I bought for my husband at [@] lat year for under $200. I do love the desk, but would not go through all that again. Wish they offered Gold Delivery on this one, would have saved at least one PTO day. Losts of money wasted on that.

The service from hayneedle was very good and delivery was taken care of with a phone call as to when the best time to deliver this product and then being delivered at the correct time. Then it was brought in by a very pleasant man from the trucking business. We would do it again!

We are using this in a small area in our kitchen/eating area. It is just the right size with lots of room. I was hesitant to buy any furniture that came through the mail but I was unable to find the right size desk in furniture stores. The quality of this piece was a very pleasant surprise and i would recommend to anyone.
