How to Hang Your Chime For the Best Musical PerformanceCare
Woodstock brass and bronze products can be cleaned with a non-abrasive cleanser, but they should not need regular cleaning. After the first year, you can apply a clear coat of lacquer to keep the brass or bronze from tarnishing. If it does tarnish, it can be cleaned with brass cleaner.
Hardwood parts can be maintained by periodically applying a thin layer of Danish or lemon oil with a clean cloth. Regular oiling will help protect the wood and retard the natural aging process. Use mild soap and water (or a foaming, non-abrasive cleanser) to clean tubes, glass, or plastic parts. Try not to dampen the string(s).

This product is great. I hung it where not many breezes blow (in my doorway alcove) so it has never 'gonged' on its own, (it needs wind, not a breeze) but I cause it to 'gong' whenever I leave or enter my home, and so does company.
Everyone thinks it is a very attractive piece, and I agree... it looks even better in person than in the picture. The 'Natural' color is best.

I use this as a decorative chime on my front porch. Great design in that it fits in with my Asian theme. I am disappointed in that it rarely chimes, unless there are almost hurricane force winds; and then the chime is very subtle. Beautiful sound-just very far and few between hearing it.

A friend had one of these gongs that was lost in a fire. It was one of the things that she missed most. So, Im replacing it for her. The tone is absolutely lovely, mellow and soothing. Perch quality. I'll be purchasing two more soon...one for my daughter- in-law and one for ME!

I tried hanging it in several areas of my yard that gets a good breeze but it rarely sounded & when it did it was so faint, could barely hear it. Sorry to have to return it because it looks so beautiful.
