We ended up purchasing two of these hammocks. They are large and roomy. Easy to hang up. This hammock would not be considered for camping or backpacking unless you're prepared to carry a heavy load. On the other hand it is perfect for a backyard get away or balcony retreat. Beautiful, sturdy, comfortable and very roomy. This hammock is exactly what what I wanted.

The hammock itself is nice and LOOKS comfortable but the cheap hanging screws they give you won't go into anything (trees, wood, etc.) I'm still trying to hang it so it doesn't fall when someone sits. I am buying and rigging my own hanging kit.Would not reccomend [@]to anyone.

You know the quality of the product is good by touching the material. The product smells and is dirty from packaging so washing is recommended.
I haven't had the chance to use the product itself because my previous hammock stand is too small, so I purchased the adjustable hammock stand from this website and am excited to be able to hang my hammock once I receive it.

It came with a strong funny odor (not "funny" ha ha), kind of reminiscent of cat urine. I tied up the strings (prevent tangles) and machine washed in cold water delicate cycle. That took care of the smell and the hammock was even softer. I machine dried on low heat (perm press/delicate cycle) which did shrink up the hammock. No fret the hammock stretched right out.
I use this as my fall/winter/early spring bed and use a mayan XXL mayan hammock for late spring/summer.

As best I can tell, this hammock is exactly the same as my current hammock, which friends brought back from Brazil and gave me almost 30 years ago. I ordered a new one because the old one, after 30 years, is wearing out. This hammock is incredibly comfortable. I've been using it on my screened porch with the Adjustable Hammock Stand, which I purchased several yrs ago. The past few years it has been my primary bed during summer months. My dog usually joins me. It washes well, as long as you are careful with the end roping.
