All the positive comments about this hammock and stand are true! Our "kit" arrived very quickly, and I had it together in no time. We live in a very humid area and got the nylon hammock to avoid any mildew-related issues. The nylon Mayan hammock is soft, cool and airy and leaves no rope marks on the skin, and the color is vibrant and beautiful. The stand is top-notch quality hands down! There are no wheels on it, and the wheel kit won't work on this type of stand; however, I don't find it that difficult to move, plus the end-bars can simply be pulled out and the stand moved in three manageable pieces. DO buy the nylon "sleeve" to cover it when not in use. It keeps it clean and spares any tangling headaches when putting it away for the season.

We've only used this hammock indoors so far. My husband set up the stand and hammock in our (large) living room for our son who is autistic. He can wrap himself up like a cocoon and the swinging action combined is very calming and comforting. He spends hours in it reading. Success! Sometimes I'll crawl into it with him and we'll read our books together.
It is rather delicate and you'd probably want to handle it carefully so as not to break any of the strings in the middle. The loop on one end opened up and began to unravel on its own. We caught it in time and were able to re-wrap it and it has been fine since. Overall we really like this hammock but sometimes wonder how long it will really last.
By the way, even though the hammock can hold up to 600 pounds you are limited to the stand's 350 pound maximum weight. The stand is sturdy and well constructed. I'd recommend the stand to a friend and recommend the hammock with the caveats mentioned above.

I purchased this for my husband for Father's Day and he absolutely loved it! The stand was very simple to put together, took about 10 minutes. And the hammock is wonderful. The nylon is soft and it was so big that he was able to wrap himself in it like a blanket! Both of us fit in it comfortably too. Great purchase and great value! He commented multiple times that the stand was much nicer and more sturdy than any stand he had ever seen before!

As most of the other reviews state, the box for the stand was in horrible condition when I received it, but the stand was in great shape. It was very easy to assemble, less than 10 minutes. The quality of both the hammock and the stand are even better than expected! The stand is very durable and the colors of the hammock are very vibrant. My son says, "I was going to go on vacation, but now I don't need to!" We love it!

I received this product and it was just as I had expected except for one thing. I was not aware that the Mayan hammock is open weave, but was probably my misunderstanding. However, it is a great product and I have no problems with the hammock hitting the rails of the stand. I am using this hammock as a bed indoors.
