I cannot believe the price for such a great piece of furniture! I needed a computer desk, and this fits the bill perfectly. Plenty of room--I put the monitor and speakers on the riser, put the keyboard below. I have alot of room left over for my mousepad and textbooks as I am working. I wish I could find Mission style end tables this beautiful at this price!

Worst buy I ever had. The "hubby" is very hard to assemble, in fact as I write this, I still haven't put it together. The desk is very nice looking, but it came damaged. The back of the desk is cracked, however this is not visable when up against a wall. The side leg are also broken (not the support leg, but rather the decorative leg). I called Hay Needle and they said I can return it, but I can't do that I NEED a desk right now, and can't be bothered to take it apart (it took me ages to get to where I am now). I have attached pictures of the desk, and of SOME of the damages.
I am VERY disapointed in this buy, and the only compensation I got back was a mere $35.00 and a voided warranty. I wish I had caught the other damages before I took the 35$, because I would totally return the product now.

It was easy to assemble. It looks good and feels sturdy, but the odor from the paint/lacquer stinks something awful, even a week later. One front corner of the desktop feels rough enough to catch clothing fibers. Not sure if it's a manufacturing defect or shipping damage.
Service and delivery comments:
The box it came in was that extremely cheap cardboard that should never be used for furniture, and it had rips in it, so I was afraid to open the box. But the furniture appeared undamaged, except for one front corner of the desktop that feels rough and can catch on clothing fibers. Not sure if that was a shipping or manufacturing problem.

I knew this wasn't going to be a fine piece of furniture. It was made in Thailand, but I did not expect what I got. This desk is made of numerous slates & is full of grooves. The wood is so soft & brittle, it splinters if you blink at it. The hole depths for the pegs were not drilled evenly, so some pegs will not go all the way in. There are no extra screws if you lose or stip one. You can't re-box & ship an item like this back. I totally will never shop here again.
