This project initially looked self-explanatory and simple but it was harder than it looked! Some of the pieces were scratched or dented, which we had to completely open the package to discover. It was not always clear which direction an item should face and one of the pieces had a "left" sticker on it even though it was supposed to be on the right. One of the holes for attaching the rear guardrail wasn't drilled wide enough so we could only attach the guardrail with four bolts rather than five. When we screwed the short supports for the desk on, the soldering holding the bracket onto the support cracked and the support is now only half-attached to the bracket. There are still enough other pieces fully attached on the bed that the whole thing will stand, but it did make us nervous about the quality of construction. Once the whole thing was all put together, it seemed very solid and sturdy.

Bought this for my son's eighth birthday. After having delivery problem with a couple of other vendors, found that Hayneedle used curbside servicer and bought here. Had a difficult time assembling as many screws weren't properly machined and would not even go in the holes. Desktop was slightly dinged. No replacement parts available so accepted a discount. A couple of days later, some of the welded parts started coming apart. Hayneedle issued a full refund and shipped me a new bed (had to place a new order but I'm okay). Pleased with service - not 100% on the product. Am hopeful that "take two" will arrive in better shape.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivered promptly. No problems there. However, many parts were defective. Several screws would not fit in holes. Some holes wouldn't line up. Accepted a discount so that we could purchase replacement parts as Hayneedle does not offer them. A few days later, when welded parts started breaking down, called back to find out our options. Hayneedle issued a full refund and shipped me a new bed (had to place a new order but I'm okay). Pleased with service - not 100% on the product

Bought this for my son's room. His room isn't terribly small but it would be awfully cramped with a desk. This seemed like a great solution. We love the design but my husband had a heck of a time assembling it. Unlike furniture from somewhere like [@], the pieces are not labeled so we are going to have to disassemble the whole thing to turn a couple of pieces around. Also, one trim bolt was missing and several screws (and their holes) including one of the feet weren't properly tooled and simply will not fit. We are going to have to trek to [@] to look for replacements as company will not provide replacement parts. Additionally, desk had a small gouge out of one corner. Again, no replacement parts available. My husband spent 3 1/2 hours getting the thing almost built and we still aren't quite done because of the screw problems.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was fabulous. Delivered exactly when promised with box fully intact and in good shape.
When box was unpacked, almost all parts were there. One trim bolt was missing but we'll put that against the wall. Some of the screws weren't tooled properly and simply would not go into the holes at ALL. Additionally, there was a small gouge in the desktop. We contacted customer service who was VERY friendly and professional but unable to provide replacement parts (not terribly happy about that). BUT, they did knock some money off the price as the piece was almost fully assembled and we had waited two months for this bed (ordered once before from another vendor who was unable to deliver intact) and had just spent almost four hours assembling. Not ideal but they did what they could.
