Toronto-based design company Umbra is known for bringing intelligent houseware products to consumers around the world. Rooted in originality, Umbra began when graphic designer and co-founder Paul Rowan created a window shade to fit his taste and price point not otherwise available on the market. He then teamed up with Les Mandelbaum, and together they began to re-imagine everyday items into modern designs.
