Twin brothers Bill and Bob Meistrell co-founded Body Glove once they'd perfected the first practical wetsuit. The boys moved to California with their family in 1944, and immediately took to the beach. After school and military service, they reconvened and continued work on a way to combat the coast's frigid water and continue surfing. They discovered neoprene, a material used to insulate refrigerators, and quickly adapted it into a wearable, flexible, and never-before-seen body suit design - the Body Glove was born. Today, the company continues to innovate as the premier outfitter for surfers and divers the world over.
