Q: How deep is the planting hole... meaning... when you look in the top can you see all the way to the bottom and have to fill all that with dirt? I assume not. So, how deep is the actual part that a plant sits in? Also I can't picture how it self-waters. Do you mean it has an interior "saucer" under the "pot" that the plant sits in? Or might the planting hole be off-center allowing for a side reservoir into which water is poured and from which the water wicks into the bottom of the pot? I am considering this for indoor use on a hardwood floor and must know that it won't leak to the floor. Thank you for further descriptions.

A: There is a liner inside of the planter, it is 14". The self-watering kit is a saucer type kit that you described. It will work indoors.
Q: does it come in white? . and . does it have a drainage hole in the bottom?

A: No, this is the only color available for this planter. There is no drainage hole as this is a self watering planter, which allows less day-to-day maintenance, but with this feature, draining is not possible as the water that goes to the bottom is what soaks back through the plant and soil, causing the self watering to occur.
