A: The chairs and the table all need to be assembled. You will need to screw the legs, seat and seat back to each other, as well as screw the base to the table top. My husband was very pleased with the time it took and was extremely happy with the quality of the materials. At first, he feared it would be particle board, but everything is solid wood. He did not need to purchase any additional tools and everything was accounted for and the instructions were straight-forward.
